Personal Video

I like to hike, bike, swim and explore as much of this beautiful Island that is possible.
Most of my travels are fun filled weekends that have taken me from just below sea level to Irelands highest point. During these excursions I try to capture the essence of the beauty I have encountered.
These are all captured on Phone / GoPro / DJI Osmo and all edited on a phone with royalty free audio.
Below is a selection of videos I have made from these journeys.

The rational behind these videos is to preserve the memory of my journeys because I undertake so many, to improve my videography and editing skills while on the go and to share my experiences of our beautiful country while hoping to inspire others to go explore!

Fog Rolling over the River Suir, observed from the Valley at approx 90m above sea level. This Timelapse and Hyperlapse were taken over the space of one hour, with a 3 second interval

Swimming with the sea life, in the Pollock Holes of Kilkee, Co. Clare.

A nice hike up Torc Mountain, followed by a swim in Dundag on Muckross Lake, Oct 2021

Irish Paradise! Have you ever seen Irish waters so clear? I know I haven’t. I spend a wonderful week under the sun, in the sea in a small secluded inlet in the beautiful Co. Galway with a beach all to my self. Swimming with Fish, Crabs and Jellyfish. We truly live in a wonderful country.

A Beautiful 19km hike through The Burren, Co. Clare on the Irish West Coast.
The Burren is an approximately 350million raised sea bed. that is truly spectacular to witness in real life.

For the brief period that we could travel during 2020, I made the best of it. This is my view of Ireland and further a field without the notable affects of Covid-19. Being in the country side makes social distancing easy 😉

A trip around Sligo and the Connemara Loop in the beautiful West of Ireland. Hard to beat getting into Irish waters and not being cold! 🙂

A weekend trip to the Tropical West Cork. Taking in only a tiny part of this beautiful county, including Skibereen, Lough Hyne, Toe Head, Drombeg, Union Hall and a few others. A glorious weekend

A trip to the Ireland’s Highest point with a good friend, my third ascent and my first time being able to see further than my hand at the top! a breathtaking view awaited us.

A trip to Sligo with some old friends and a solo trip through the midlands over the June bank holiday weekend, got in some swimming, biking and long over due catch-ups.
Not all Mountain hiking has beautiful views, often Irish weather has other plans. But with a map, compass and necessary safety equipment you can make the best of it!
A trip to the top of the beautiful Galtee Mountains on national hiking day

The Arra Mountain loop where I decided to run up the famous 999 steps…regretted that one the next day! Found muscle pains I never knew could exist! but amazing views and all four seasons in the few hours of hiking.

Spent a week in Kerry last year, there was so much to see and do, and largely we only saw the Coast line and still didn’t have enough time, in this video I combined a lot of what we encountered into 1-2 second clips and put them together. Below is the extended version.

A road trip around Kerry, taking in the Connor Pass, Caha Pass, Healy Pass, Ring of Kerry, Slea Head Drive, Ballaghisheen Pass, and everywhere in between

This was one of the toughest hikes i’ve undertaken, 3 summits, Temple Hill twice and Lyacappul Summit, over 1000m ascent much of which was through boggy land, steep terrain and heather. but the views were as always, incredible!
A largely flat hike along the entire Cliffs of Moher, starting at Hags head and going all the way to Doolin, wonderful views all the way along.

A easy Sunday hike up Mullaghmore in the Burn Nation Geo Park, on a 300million year old raised sea bed….Can a Sunday be more beautiful?

A handy Tuesday evening Hike along the lovely 12 O’Clock Hills, beautiful board walks and great views at the top!

More videos to come, keep an eye on this spot!
